Hi all....
Can anyone ID this glass plinth for me please?
It has "2614" marked on the bottom.
Cheers

I pick up quite a few of these on my rounds, I would say English

regret I can't help with the answer regarding No. 2614 - although can say that according to the Bagley Glass book, the Nos. 2506 and 2616 are "consistent with Sowerby plinth numbering. Have attached pictures of all three numbers, in case of interest, just to show the differing script forms. From what I can see, the 2614 plinth shape doesn't appear in the Bagley book. Of course, it might seem that these Nos. being not too far from each other numerically, there might have been a connection, but no evidence for this.
I also pick these things up whenever I see them - now seem to have a box full :)

Thankyou for the info..much appreciated :)
Would also like this to be ID please...This one doesn't have the numbers on the base.

Hi Brenton
I think that base could be the one to fit Walther 3 graces base?

Hi Brenton,
The circular 2614 plinth is Sowerby, it's for the larger version of the 2614 elephant handled bowl. I think Nigel's right about the hexagonal plinth being Walther - it looks like the no.2 plinth shown in Walther's 1937 catalogue http://glas-musterbuch.de/Walther-1937.76.0.html

Hi Steven & Nigel
Thanks for the info and identification. I didn't aware that there are so many plinths made by Walther. Only recognised a few such as No3,5,16 &17.
Cheers
