:hi: there:
I am assuming this is a Rose Bowl, as it is about that size. Very, very heavy -- weights like a ton for the Size of it. All Clear glass. Has a opening (hole) in the bottom -- and not really a bubble in the base -- but kinda like a large air pocket. So not sure. The rim looks well done, and on the very inside of the bowl (bottom) there is a hump. Not sure IF you can see it in the Picture.
About 3 inches tall and about 5.25 inches wide. Like I said -- looks like a Rose Bowl type to me. I had some other things with a bubble in the base, but when I did a search I could not find them -- so not sure IF this is the same maker as those ones -- as I forget the name of it right off the top of my Hat :hat: right now... ;D Found it hard to get some good pics of this clear vase -- so some with flash, and one w/o flash.
Thanks for any help on maker, and age. :kissy:
** Sorry have not been on the board much lately -- Finally getting some Hot weather here !

Can't really see from the images because clear glass is so hard to photograph, but is it one of these?

Hi Max -- No that looks different. i will try to take some more photos with Black background, as maybe that will help better. I do not think it is that. I will just try to take some pics from different angles. I find clear glass so hard to take pics of.... :spls:
lol -- Guess I just have too much glass with color here :24:

It seems very like Polish glass to me - the sort of piece that I would see marketed as Krosno here in Melbourne. I think it is a rose bowl as suggested with the hump providing a "Groove" for the stems to fit in and this allow arrangements to be more stable. Would not be an oil lamp as the mouth is far too wide for any burner I have seen so far.

I was thinking that Rose had it upside down and the oil reservoir was at the bottom with the small hole being where the wick protruded....
Can't see it in person so it's hard to tell really.

:phew:
I tried to take some more pics of it. There is a Hole at the very bottom base of it. Inside the bump protrudes up a bit, as you can see the hump. That is why I am confused because it does not have a clear bubble in the base like those others posted here (and I had some glasses too) where there is a clearly defined bubble. yet the hole in the bottom (very bottom) is a hole. I can't see it that I have it flipped the wrong way (for a wick) as what would be the purpose of having (then) such a large bottom stand ?????
Geeeeeeeeeeeez--- I am not sure about this.....or why the hole, or the bubble hump *purpose would* be either???
Hope these pics help a bit more. The top rim looks polished ??? I think ??? :spls:
