This is likely to be tricky to firmly attribute - it's relatively inexpensive to start producing pate-de-verre meaning there are numerous small studios capable of making such a piece. I have a suspicion that this vase is Chinese - China is the largest producer of pate-de-verre/ pate de cristal at present, however much of their output hasn't been documented and, due to the nature of the technique, it's easy for makers to produce small runs and special orders which don't appear in catalogues.

The colour and finish are certainly consistent with modern Chinese production, however the design is somewhat atypical as most Chinese pieces are influenced by ancient forms (i.e. Shang dy. bronzes, etc.); having said that, Liu-li story have recently started offering more European style forms like this piece and their output is typically unmarked, though, as I say, there are many other possible makers.

and actually unless you are trying to sell it and it would be beneficial to have an id, I have to say if I had this vase, I wouldn't actually care :sun:  who made it - it's just one of those with WOW factor for me.  Really lovely, fab colour and design and size.
I'm seriously jealous here
Steven, on a side note did you see the thread on your streakly cloudy large vase (it's on page 2 now) it has an id :)

Hello, thanks for that information. I have owned pieces by Tittot, Liuligongfang, and Liuli Story, all had hallmarks. The eBay seller who sold this vase had two or three of these vases, as well as a few other models in pate de verre as well. All apparently unsigned. I am not going to sell this, as it is unique, and I love a mystery.

Many thanks

I wondered if you had asked the seller if they had any more information perhaps?
People don't always assume the buyer is interested but sometimes they know more than once asked.  may be worth a try?

They are selling them with Daum? in the title of the listing. Someone must have suggested Daum to them, or maybe a prospective buyer, here's a link:

Andy, having looked at the listings, I think they do also.  However....that doesn't take away from the fact that it is still a gorgeous piece  :rah: and maybe if you told them you love it but you just want some more info on the source, they may actually tell you.
