Title: green penguin - I'm not making this up!
Post by: Ivo on June 26, 2011, 02:40:40 PM
Dark green pinguin, blown (hollow) and pinched. The bottom ring has a very curious finish: cut with radial grooves. Now why would anyone do that?

Could your penguin be Polish?  I've got a similar penguin designed by Zbigniew Horbowy.  One of the 'oddities' about his pieces is that the finish of the base can differ from piece to piece.

Edit: I forgot to mention that the base of my penguin is hollow, which might not be apparent from my photograph.

Very good likeness, the penguin treatment seems to be identical  :hiclp:
