He's got a round silver label (what's left of it) most of the surface colour (if there ever was any) has gone.
I can make out "MADE IN" around the top, I'm sure it did read "ITALY" around the bottom (I can make out a couple of right letters in the right place) and it has Murano written across the middle, in a smaller, joined-up italic script.
He is not the most beautifully made beast - he should have been taken to an eye surgeon early on in life - each eye is at a completely different height. On his body, where one bit of hot glass has been added to another, there are some dodgy looking missing bits (manufacturing - not damage). He's decidedly wonky. There is decent-looking age-related wear to his feet.
His eyes, nose and tongue are red, the rest of him is amber and deep green. There are a fair few bubbles in the glass itself.
He is big, 7.75" tall, and he weighs nearly 4 pounds.
I have had a bit of a root around to see if I could find a likely maker - but have found dogs are far less common than birds.
Can anybody help me please?

:smg:
I think mine's the Daddy! Yes, it does look like the same maker, Rosie, but nobody says who was actually responsible....
(don't blame me for what my dog did before I got him today!)
