Title: Unidentified Hand Vase - Portieux? Bohemian? Fenton?
Post by: Gailcat on July 04, 2011, 11:27:11 PM
Hi, I have this hand vase and can't find anything else like it - it is cased glass in aquamarine blue with a white interior.  The row of buttons is very high and the base is rounded.  It has characteristics of both Portieux and of Fenton.  Does anyone recognize it?  TIA~!

Just search this site for hand vases, and do not skip the excellent article from Marinka on the glass museum site.

Thanks, all!  In fact I had checked that site (which is excellent, by the way) and was really surprised to see that this one was not there, nor was there another with the same type of rim treatment and the high buttons.  Grrr...

You could ask Marinka. I know she doesn't pop in here very often any more, as she's busy with other things, but her email address is available
