Hi all, this is a lovely glass bird, well signed, but I think it might be Mtarfa, upside down......any opinions??

Think so, the colours are right
-
Colours remind me of those 'intestine' like vases they used to do, though I think the signature might be the right way up - they can be be really scratchy and nigh on illegible. Price seems a little preposterous even without the damage to the beak - snapped of the rod, ridiculous. Bad case of keyword spamming too.
I would avoid anyone who uses that many exclamation marks in there location and underlines everything.....
My bad habit is too many full stops!

You're allowed three; then it's an ellipsis...
Or four then it's an ellipsis with a full stop, which is OK too.
-
Ooo, never heard the term ellipsis before, just looked it up and I shall limit the number of dots I use from now on, no more dot diarrhoea from me. At least until I am tired or half cut... ;D

100% Mtarfa.
I can't read the signature well, but the colourway is a complete giveaway!
-
All changed and corrected now, and a very nice reply from them as well..... :sun:
BTW, I thought I had the monopoly on full stops.................? :usd:

Thought you might like to know your help ws appreciated, not just by me but also the seller.
On the listing, they have now added the following:
"This No Reserve auction is for mid-century art glass bird figurine paperweight by Mtarfa glass works.
Made in Malta.
My thanks to the Glass Message Board and a very nice fellow ebayer for their help in identifying
this lovely piece."
A satisfactory result and thanks Sue, John and Christine.

Well, it didn't sell, so now it is relisted, without the thanks, and a query on the signature being Mtarfa...hey ho!! :thud:
