Rob, is yours uranium glass?
-
Hi Anne i do not think it is uranium although it defiantly fluoresces under black light but not like my other pieces i believe they used other material's manganese and the likes .I will take a pic tonight and post it so you can see it your self. :hi: :or:

Anne i had a look at your gallery you have some beautiful glass but you have a pieces File 28/784 it says Murano vase Italy .I have a pair that are similar i was told are Chinese how can you tell them apart.
-
If it's this one you mean http://yobunny.org.uk/gallery1/displayimage.php?pos=-108 then it needs its description updating, as it's Chinese not Murano. It came back from an Italian holiday with my late great-uncle and the tale that it was Murano, but evidence from folks on the board proved otherwise. I'd forgotten it needs updating so shall do that soon. I have heaps more glass which aren't on the gallery yet though Rob... just need more time to do it all. :)
Edited to add: Desription updated now. :) Have you see the GM article on those vases here: http://www.theglassmuseum.com/Chinese.html

Mine does that too Rob! (That's how I spotted it, glowing happily in a dark corner of GB Antiques in Lancaster some years ago.)
