Title: Cambridge Cleo ............many thanks Pam
Post by: dinklepip on July 09, 2011, 05:13:01 PM
Thanks so much to Pam for linking that clipsnipwow :kissy: :kissy: site because after over a year of looking I have just ID'd this uranium bowl which has been driving me nuts. I knew it was American but still couldn't find anything in my books.   I am assuming as this range was dinnerware it is a serving bowl despite looking like a centrepiece float bowl, and the design is etched  ;D

The people in the forum attached to the gallery are very helpful too. Some of them belong here too, and some of us belong there.

It may be a float bowl. Cleo is the name of the etch, not the bowl design. The gallery shows it on a vase and a console bowl as well. Your bowl may very well have been produced with different designs on it. I would search under Cambridge in the gallery to see if you can ID the bowl line number as well.

It looks like a fruit bowl, like for the center of the table and yes Cleo is on many types of pieces.
