Title: Walsh vase,not sure??

On ebay at the moment,230646884436,very similar pattern as in Reynolds book but that base looks odd and what's the label?

Perhaps the label read "Entirely British Workmanship" ?

Think it must be Entirely, as Ross says - Tell me more about Walsh - should it have a polished pontil mark rather than a flat polished base with a small scar left where the pontil was removed?  the base is only 3.5cm or less than 1 1/2" so not much room for polishing a pontil mark especially if there was not enough thickness in the base to avoid polishign through, so perhaps polishing the base flat was the best option?
I love it by the way, shame it is so small though.

I would say the only option on something so small was to polish it flat, judging by the mark that's left. They certainly wouldn't discard it for that.
