Title: Small Bowl, Gold Flakes.....Barbini (maybe) or not ?????
Post by: antiquerose123 on July 19, 2011, 10:46:40 PM
 (http://www.gifanimations.com/GA/Image/Animations/Smiley-Faces/smiley_032.gif) there:

I am pretty sure this is Murano.  I am thinking maybe Barbini ??  It is a small green bowl with gold flakes in it.  It is only about 5.5 inches wide (side to side) and about 1.25 inches tall.  So smaller....so not sure what (or a ashtray)??

The bottom shows good wear.  Any ideas on the maker, or the year?   I hope it is Murano, and the maker can be ID.  In the last pic you can kinda see a bit of a pattern, sort of......if that helps at all  :huh2: lol

Thanks for any help!!  :kissy:

Rose, I thought I would reply and give my 2 cents, which isn't much.  You bowl looks Murano in origin to me, but sadly I have no idea of the maker.  I also have an unidentified bowl that has gold all throughout it.

Thanks Tam Bam for that.  Was wondering if anyone knew.  I am almost certain this is Murano, but I have not found anything like the shape on the Net.  The closest thing I have found (color, gold dust) is this one *HERE  (http://cgi.ebay.com/MURANO-Glass-VASE-Gorgeous-GOLD-DUST-Vintage-sm-BEAUTY-/370528037614?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5645312aee&clk_rvr_id=249157941811&x=64&y=9), but a different shape.

There it the *suggested* maker is either Venni or Seguso -- so still looking here.  :X:

Thanks for the Reply !!!  :kissy:
