Title: Signed decanter and glasses any ideas? ID = Pauline Solven for Cowdy Glass
Post by: chuggy on February 12, 2006, 03:31:32 PM
In the clear out that I'm currently having I've found this signed decanter and 4 glasses, that I don't even recall buying, so I've no chance of remembering who they are made by. Any ideas welcome. The stopper is really well made and may hopefully provide the clue, assuming no one recognises the signature.

This is Cowdy Glass, designed by Pauline Solven and probably made some time around 1982-3. :D

We used to sell them in the early eighties and so did the Crafts Council shop at the V & A.

I have no recollection at all of ever buying this set, that's what worries me, old age definitely kicking in, the next decision is whether to keep it or sell it.  Thanks a lot.
