Hi, not sure of this bowls ID, its a clear bowl with fine white threads of latticino ?. It has a pulled in rim and has a flat polished base. The rim is rolled not the usual ground flat rim. 4.75 inches tall, 5.75 inches dia and weighs 1.036kg, any help would be appreciated. Thank you

Merletto Italian or Czech . well documented but i am having a senior moment the Czech is Hartil but i cant remember the Italian firm .I believe yours is Hartil . jp  Italian is possibly Seguso

Hartil gets my vote, wasn't their a par of Hartil vases recent on the board with similar latticino work..? cant for the life of me find the thread.
-
It isn't latticino work; it's a glass fibre fabric encased in glass.

Harrtil I would think, so Harrachov glass works. In the Italian Merletto examples the threads are not so ordered, they are not random but they do bunch in places.

Many thanks to everyone, the links to the other sites are quite interesting re some of the background of this particular glass/ design etc.
Again thank you all

I have the same bowl in a lovely blue. It matches the other 4 items I have in that the woven work is identical. I have attributed them to be Harrtil from Harrachov glass works - from Harrach Glass. Some people get funny about Harrachov.

Funny in what way Ross? Much of their output is lovely (IMO).

Calling the item Harrtil by Harrachov versus Harrrtil by Harrach. Strictly speaking the company is Harrach and the glassworks is Harrachov. I inadvertantly called an item an Harrachov Vase whereas I ought to have called it an Harrach Vase. I was of course rapidly picked up for the error. :-[

I had no idea that such a distinction could be made or for that matter would be. I enjoy a bit of pedantry now and again but that seems a little excessive...
