Hi all!
Has anyone any ideas about attribution for this vase? It's very fine glass and lovelier in the flesh!
Thanks for any help you can give, angel2

I thought I needed to show better images!

Very pretty, how do you know it is Czech glass please? Is it marked in someway?

Hi!
Thanks for your interest. Surely it has to be Czech doesn't it?
It's a bit like a tango vase but super, super quality, it can't be easy to make such ultrafine glass.
I forgot to mention that the interior is opalescent which doesn't show so well in the images.

Size, please - the way I read it now is that it is lampwork, the really ultralight work which is mostly from Germany or Italy. And it does not strike me as particularly Czech----
-
How tall is it? Can we have a base shot please.
-
Hi!
Excuse my ignorance but I just assumed it was Czech. :spls2:
It is nearly 12cms/4.5" tall and has a lot more iridescence than I thought - but subtle. I bought it in Holland if that's any use.
Hope this base shot helps

I think you're looking with high probability at a piece of lampwork made in Germany. Could be anywhere from Lauscha to North Bavaria - there are quite a lot of artists who specialise in this type of work which is fashioned over a gas flame from prefabricated rods. In that sense it is not like the glass we normally discuss here - it does not require a pot of molten glass, just a gas flame and some rods. O, and some colours, metal salts and some skill. Some of the lampworked items (big names) make big bucks - but a lot of it is made in anonymity and will not fly high...

 Thanks Ivo! ;D
Just realised that it was bought somewhat in your neck of the woods -Hoek De Holland
If anyone knows anything more, that'd be great.
