Hello everyone
I am in the process of receiving a Walther pink frosted glass Madonna figure in an Arabella lamp.
I have been informed by the seller that it is found a lot as this combination and wondered if anyone else had seen it like this?
In the catalogues I can only see Madonna on her own in a black plinth and also as part of a double candleholder set?
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thankyou Nigel

Hi Brenton
Cheers! I'm over the moon.I remember a dealer a few years ago before I was really into Walther having a green Arabella lamp with the Madonna figure but I wasn't really interested! If only......
It's strange how they turn up in that combination.I already have the pink Arabella lamp so this will be a nice addidtion with the Madonna.
I've also got a pink frosted eisbar bookend on it's way and a rare Bagley amber glass pelican centrepiece to come.
Best wishes Nige

Don't forget to post some photos here :)
If you get bored with one of your pink arabella lamps, don't forget to send it over to me lol
-
Hi Brenton
I will definately post some photos when they arrive.I'm expecting the eisbar and pelican to arrive anyday soon and the seller of the Madonna lamp is away on holiday so they will post when they get back.
Haha yes I will keep you in mind about the spare Arabella lamp do you like pink?

I like green, pink and blue....not so into amber though....therefore this pink arabella lamp will fit beautifully in my collection :)

Hi again Brenton
Received the Madonna lamp today and put it next to my pink Arabella lamp....looks really good! The Madonna figure has a nice weight to her.
Here are some photos for you.

German site has got a pink Belvedere bowl listed at the moment. Just in case you're interested....However, it could be a damaged piece.

Like wise lol
I bought this Orla wth the square base not long ago.....am now looking for the log vase and the two pots to complete the set unfortunately I know they aren't easy to find :(
-
Hi Brenton
I have seen that version of Orla before....a contact of mine saw the full set with the log vase and pots a while ago!
I am just in the process of getting another green Orla she is a lovely figure.
I am also waiting for another green Nelson centrepiece set that I will have spare.
I don't know if you do swaps at all but if ever you want to part with one of your haarlems I would consider swapping my Arabella lamp.

Hiya
I wish I had contacts like you do. If happens you managed to secure the complete set of this orla lady with the vase and 2 pots, please share some photos with us here k?
Thanks also for considering to swap your spectacular Arabella lamp with my Haarlem centrepiece. I'm honestly tempted, but at the same time, I really liked the pair a lot and do not wish to separate them apart at this stage. Hopefully oneday we'll make the deal.
Cheers

Hi Brenton
No problems at all it doesn't hurt to ask.
I maybe able to get another Madonna lamp in pink I'm working on it at the moment.I like getting spares as its good to keep them as potential swaps.
Thanks for keeping me in mind if you do want to separate the Haarlems.

Another ONE?? WOW.....
-
Brenton
Would you believe I've bought a blue Madonna figure!
-
Of course I believe you...The blue one must be prettier than the pink one you've got I bet :)
-
Hi Brenton
Here is a pic of her but she hasn't arrived yet.....now if I could get my hands on a Blue Arabella lamp.....lol
-
What a beauty :)
I wonder if you could find yourself a madonna lady with the candlesticks as appeared in the old Walther catalogue
-
I know what you mean Brenton!
I always wondered what that would like in the flesh. It looks like pressed glass thats got a cut design rather like the Victorian glass.
I wonder if it is a frosted finish or plain glass.
I got another green Orla the other day and green Nelson set.
-
Its very difficult to judge based on the black and white catalogue.
Have you ever seen a Lilli with the face facing sideways as shown in the catalogues?
I have the green orla as well, still looking for the orla bowl to complete the set....have spare blue and pink bowls though :(
-
Hi Brenton
Thought I would post some photos of the blue Madonna that has now arrived.
Also until you mentioned it I had no idea that Lilli had a sideways face but looking closely at some of the catalogue pics I see what you mean. Will have to see if that version ever turns up?
Best wishes Nige

Hi Nige
Thanks for sharing the photos of your latest acquisition - the Madonna lady in satin blue. The colour on this one looks different than the one you posted earlier. Great find, a shame there's a piece missing on the base??
Cheers
