Hello All. I ahve been given this fabulous vase today and it is not something I have seen before. I was hoping it would have Lalique on it or something similar but it is unmarked. There are 3 verticval stylised deep moulded frostd leaf type motifs and then very art deco frosted spear head shapes to the rim x 3. The clear parts are deep moulded arches. The glass is 6mm thick and it is 20cm tall. My gut feeling was French /Belgian....but I would love to know if anyone recognizes it. The base is clear and nearly flat...just slightly concave.
Thanks for all your help

Hi there.....
Not sure about this, as it is only a *Guess.....but the grooves kinda remind me of a Piece of Cristal d' Arques, but I do not know.
Just throwing that out there :spls2: :huh2: (maybe) ???

I have been through hundreds of pages of their ctalogues and cannot find one piece in this sort of shape in pressed glass. Some of thier cut glass has a slight resemblence but they really do not have the quality of this piece. But a good start to eliminate that one

There is no cut glass from Arques and their mfg program changes at least twice a year - they do make one million pieces of glass per day.... so it would not be easy to find. Any mould number on the bottom?

Hello. I realise they are fully automated but there is plenty of CUT Glass in their catalogues

ttbomk there is only some limited cutting in the Durand line of luxury table ware, for the rest all is pressed not cut. Few manufacturers have managed the cut look in pressed glass quite like Arques, and they are proud of it.
