Either muurlanlasi or pasabahce

Paşabahçe is Turkish, Steve........
I didn't realise they made this sort of thing Ivo.....I have seen the run of the mill glassware and in stark contrast, the beautiful blue filligrana-style Çeşm-i Bülbül (Nightingales eye) glass.

Some were made in Germany as well, I have several of these by different makers, but I've not seen this particular one before.

i think Çeşmibülbül translates as nightingale fountain. The main factory is huge - www.sisecam.com/ is the parent dir of everything glass in turkey. sise is bottle, cam is glass...

That's really interesting Ivo....I had always thought Çeşm-i Bülbül was 'Nightingale's Eye' or even 'Eye of the Nightingale'.
A couple of years ago I was researching who made this beautiful filigrana glass made by Paşabahçe,and was directed to this site:

One of these days, when I can afford it, I am going to buy a piece of this beautiful glass.
In the meantime....back to the tea pot warmers......looks like there is a new collecting bug attached to those as they seem to come in so many different patterns and styles. :o

The older one are bowls with ridges for holding a metal plate and I've also seen an oval one like that for warming a serving dish perhaps.
Scroll down and there are several on this page http://www.pressglas-pavillon.de/misc/misc.html
