H. 31cm 12¼", h. to rim 24cm 9½", w. 1468g 3lb 3½oz.   Not obviously made to either metric or Imperial measures.   No pontil scar.  Plenty of legitimate foot wear.

I've been offered this and need some idea of its origin, date and scarcity before I commit myself.   On the plus side I haven't found such a complex cut glass stein in my reference books — on the minus side there are two small blemishes.   Are steins collectable?

I'd be most grateful for help.

Thanks for your interest,

Did you mean to post two pictures the same?

Christine — Thanks.   I've corrected it.

... and apologies for the poor pictures.   I was grovelling around the clothes racks in a crowded charity shop, being beaten up by large Crimplene-frocked women with enormous lead-lined handbags.   You know — the type that can clear a glass stall with one swipe.    ;D
