:hi:
Bought this Iridescent Glass Seashell from a thrift store? It is pretty, but no idea IF it is anything but Asian Art Glass? Any ideas at all? It is about 5 inches long. No label, no marks. It is all closed in (not an open shell) and I have looked around on the Net -- and not finding anything close to it :-\

I really like it too, Rose. ;) My personal feeling is that it is very well made and is thus not necessarily from East Asia. I would try the talc powder trick to see if there is any sign of a maker's mark - which can be nigh on impossible to see without a few smarts.

I will take a closer look at it, real close to see. It is pretty, but I am not even finding a closed glass shell on the Net so far -- at all  Thanks ahremck, will try talc..

okay ---- 6 years later, I might have stumbled upon the ID of this one. The link that I am posting DOES have a label on it and it look very much like mine. It is a Glass Eye Studio piece....?? ;)
So I will let GMB members take a peek at the ** LINK HERE ** (https://www.terapeak.com/worth/glass-eye-studio-brown-beige-iridescent-whelk-shell-art-glass-paperweight/122384419585/) to get Your opinions if you think this is a match, and an ID for my shell,
Thanks in advence :-*

Looks like a good match to me, Rose. :D
You could always email the studio, as they have a website with a 'contact' button.
Nice piece!
