Here is another piece of absolutely gorgeous glass that I picked up. I was thinking it was Hawkes, Steuben, etc., but found no matches. It measures about 7" x 2.5" and is cut on a heavy very clear blank. There is 1049 scratched on the bottom, but don't know what that is. Any ideas, info would be appreciated. Thanks folks!~Suzzi

Gorgeous, but no idea.

I agree it is gorgeous - I like it very much. :chky:
The number could mean several things.
(a) The engravers code
(b) A range number
(c) It may also be a pawnbroker's mark so he can identify precisely which bowl was stock number 1049. I have seen that done for a Stuart decanter.

It's beautiful and I have no idea who did it either, but I'd love to know!
