Hi
I recently bought some small glass animals. One of them glows when put under black light does this mean it is old ? Height 7mm.

Depends what you mean by old.

Uranium glass is still being used in the UK today but its use is strictly controlled. I don't know when the relevant health and safety legislation came into force though and I don't know what controls are like in other countries where it is still used.

As this is lampwork, which tends to be small-scale and run on more of a shoestring, and given the current cost of such colorants and the duck's style, I would speculate 1950s to late 1970s, as this is also when such things were most fashionable, and perhaps from Murano.

He reminds me of these http://lustrousstone.co.uk/cpg/displayimage.php?pid=737
