Hi all
Trying to pin this one down, I think its Alsterfors but havent managed to confirm so far. The colouring is identical to the last confirmed Alsterfors vase i had and it feels the same.
Does anybody recognise the shape?
19cm tall, ground and smooth polished rim
many thanks
michelle

Can't say I've seen that shape before..I'm not sure why, but something about it says Friedrich to me, I could be way out though. I had a bit of a google and came across a group of Friedrich vases in this colour, so it might at least be a possibility:
About half way down this page, takes a while to load:

Direct link to the pic:

Lindshammar + Ryd might be other possibilities. It will probably turn out to be Alsterfors now I've waffled on!

ahhh nice one Wayne, im not really all that up on Friedrich but it does look very much like the one in the far right of the direct picture apart from mine has a rounded bottom and the one in the pic has a squared off bottom. there is a couple on ebay in that shape too (not my advert)
A definate possibility i would say http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Retro-Friedrich-Glass-Germany-Orange-Cased-Hooped-Vase-/200632185742?pt=UK_Art_Glass&hash=item2eb69c338e
thanks very much

A few more examples of Friedrich glass here (http://www.glaskilian.de/Friedrich.507.0.html?&L=1) and here (http://potteryandglass.forumandco.com/t196-karl-friedrich-glas-friedrichs-kristal), including a few "curvier" ones.
