I have this magnificent bowl that I have been told was French Opaline, then another guy told me it was Cambridge Glass. I looked at the Cambridge glass and this looks of much more significant quality. I would love to finally know the truth. It is unmarked, and measures 7 and 3/8 inches across, and 2.5 inches high. It is translucent.
thank you so much

It looks like a Cambridge Azurite #18 Special Article bowl.

the reason I am unsure is because the ones I see by Cambridge are opaque, this one is translucent.

Batch mixes in the 20's were not always uniform & you will find this irregularity in all the Cambridge opaques from time to time.

Thank you so much Ohio
So can anyone show me what opaline really looks like?

someone may post some pics., but in the meantime try using the GMB search facitility - I seem to remember there had been some images posted over the past year or so.

There are quite a few examples I found on this site if it helps.
