Title: Pink & white stylised bird
Post by: Anne E.B. on September 11, 2011, 10:03:02 AM
Any ideas where this little bird flew in from?  I think its doing the backstroke or some other aeronautical manouvre  ;)
I'm guessing from what I read here that it could be alabastro .  It doesn't have a firey glow when held to the light.
TIA :rah:

Nice!  Looks very Barbini-ish to me but let's see what our lovely Murano experts say!   :pb:

Alabastro looks right. How big is it?

Its a big bird 6" in length and 4½" at its highest - 616g, and has age related wear on the base.
Pic. of base showing central core of white for interest.

Anne, I've seen this design a few times, but never with a good label. I thought it looked like something Formia might have made, but there could be others. I wish we could find one with a label. It is a bird that puzzles me.
