I wonder if it would be possible to pinpoint a maker/manufacturer for this little bird? 65mm wide by 45mm high approx. It has a flat base with no markings.
Thanks. (I have a pair, so possibly came as a pair?)

Hiya Nancy, :hi: Pretty little bird.....I dont think it it is pressed glass.....I would say it was hot worked glass, and at the moment I am thinking possibly Scandinavian.....I'll carry in researching

Thanks Rosie. The reason I say pressed is that it (they both have) has a seam running around it. I think? that means it's pressed. Sorry for not mentioning it at the beginning.

If that is the case, then for the moment, I am pinning my hopes on Reijmyre as they often had pressed od molded glass that had hot worked finishing....also smokey grey is one of their colours. :X:

Would it be a good thing for them to be Reijmyre Rosie (I'm hoping to sell them on Ebay even though they were once my great auntie's! - that's true by the way).

I think so Nancy, because I like Reijmyre glass......having said that, some of the molded glass can look a bit poorly finished....I sold a few pieces because I felt they looked a bit mass produced.
There again, I have a couple of swans, a big nightjar and a seal (with a broken flipper) that are beautiful, so I suppose it is personal taste.
Anyway, let's look around a bit more first, we may yet find a definative answer to who made your little birdies. :)

Great Rosie. I've had a bit of a look around but haven't seen my bird yet, although a lot of the bird faces I've seen are similar (but maybe there are not too many variations when it comes to glass bird faces . . ). The tail and wings are quite distinctive I think. Thanks for helping me with this!
