Hello people,
When I bought it I thought 'fancy goblet', then a little research told me it was a roemer and possibly Dutch or German. I read (Glass and Crystal by Elka Schrijver) that these simple designs go back as far as the C17.
In one of the photos you should be able to see the snapped off pontil.
The applique are quite distinctive. Just 3 flowers, all slightly different.
The collar is also applique not part of the mould.
The foot seems to be moulded rather than coiled but there are no visible seams.
The are a couple of trapped air bubbles.
I know whatever comes back will be enlightening so I thank you in advance. Scavo.

Very difficult matter to distinguish the real thing from the replicas which have flooded the market from the 2nd half of the 19th century. The yellowish colour and the clear glass suggest a German (Northern Bavaria) origin but it could also be Swedish, or Italian (Bon) or Czech (Kralovice hut) - or even Spanish (San Ildefonso or Gordiola). So I suggest you take it into the nearest dealer who has handled the real thing, and be prepared for a dismissive verdict. Things can only get better after that.
