Title: Unusual Tapering Geometric Cut Glass Smoky Vase - Help ID Please...
Post by: charliepedro on September 24, 2011, 03:27:43 PM
Hi guys,

Found this unusual vase at a car boot recently amongst a variety of Czech glass - does anyone have any inclinations or suspicions? In my limited experience and knowledge I have no clue. It stands just under 9'' with a base diameter of 2.2'' and rim diameter of 1.25''. Its a kind of smoky grey/green colour. Any help appreciated.

Charlene :)

I saw this vase in amethyst in Andy McConnell's shop about 4 years ago.  I can't offer any information on it though.

The colour, shape and type of cutting suggests to me it might be German, but it's nothing more than a hunch and I can't be more specific, sorry.
