:hi:
I found this cutie!
Small art glass birdie. I lost my paper with measurements on it here, but I did take a pic of it in comparison by a phone....so about 3 inches tall, as I think my phone receiver is about 6 inches tall. I was positive that I took a pic of the base here, but can not find it (maybe I deleted accidentally). Base is polished with some wear to it. I imagine lots of companies made this type of little bird, but I have not found any thing very close to it yet on the net. Any ideas?
He does not take up very much room......lol  and can fit between a lot of other items of glass...
Thanks :kissy:

this reminds me of the Wedgewood birds, however they have the tale flattened horizontal,
i don't know if they ever had the tail verticaly flattened like your.
I hope someone else has any ideas for you

Hi Rose :hi: sweet little birdie, certainly not Wedgwood ( solidevo there is no 'e' in the middle of Wedgwood!!, but you are absolutely right about the tail.)
I will look through all my info on glass birds, but at the moment, I can only say what it isn't. :usd:
It isn't Isle of Wight Studio Glass, Langham Glass House, Isle of Man, Selkirk, Chris Dodds, Tweedsmuir Glass Studio, and I don't think it is Mdina, Mtarfa or Phoenician Glass, but others know their glass better than I.
I wouldn't think it is likely to be Scandinavian, but that is just a gut feeling.
There is a blue one on eBay USA at the moment that is very similar in shape, but does not have a makers name either.

I've had a look at some Pilgrim glass birds but the beaks seem better defined.
I am thinking it might ba Chinese in origin, from the shape of the beak, but I will continue the search Rose, and see what I come back with.
