Turkish glassworks "Turkiye sise ve cam fabrikalari a.s. now known as Sisecam were founded in 1935. Cover the spectrum of glass products.

In 1971 they took up the challenge of designer lead glassware to give them the opportunity to enter the 1972 Lisbon Hand-made Glass Exhibition. Designers whose impressive work was shown there included Yusuf Görmüs, Remzi Köklü,Önder Küçükerman, Amiran Yaylaci & Nuriye Agar.

Sisecam's website is a good break for Glass collectors, particularly if looking for a new area that gives good excuses for Turkish holidays  ;)

Hello Frank,  Turkish glass has always fascinated me, particularly Çeşm-i Bülbül glass.  This thread has given  answers to more questions than I realised I had.  Amazing text, so clear and well written, and fabulous illustrations.

Many years ago 20+ I sold my copy of the catalogue for Hand-Made glass exhibition... when I wanted another copy they had become gold-dust being one of the most important records of the 1970s glass 100+ pounds a copy and those falling apart - very thick 524 pages book cheaply made. So I was delighted to find an almost pristine copy for just 10 euros, it arrived today. Since selling it my interests have extended beyond Scottish Glass and seeing the section on Turkey with superb glass wanted to know more.
