Title: Tall crystal vase with monogram in the pontil
Post by: WhatHo! on October 06, 2011, 06:12:25 PM
Hi, I've recently purchased this lovely cut crystal flared vase with engraved trailing leaves and I was wondering if any one recognises it.
Its a well made substantial piece 12" tall, 8 1/2" across the top and weighs 2.26kg. It has a polished pontil which is signed with a monogram that is not known to me. Any help most appreciated, Wolfie

I recently added this one to my collection (and I love it. Very nice shape). The shape pattern is called "Odeon", probably designed in the '90s as it was a part of the 1997 catalogue. At the time, P&P offered engraved versions of a certain shapes as a variation. The Odeon vase was also available without the engraved leaves.

If you like to see more P&Ps, check my sig, I have a special album with only Peill & Putzler vases on Picasa (it's become my first glass collectiong specialization).
