Post by: Daarhn on October 07, 2011, 01:34:10 PM
I've recently received piece of glass and would like more information on it please....it appears to be opaline glass..what does that mean?...the makers sticker appears original and says avorazione a (missing bit) Fabbricato in Toscana Italia...which I assume means made in Toscana Italy?....stands about 30cm high with intricate stem...it appears to glow..thought it does need a good clean and dusty...appears to be no cracks or chips...love the blue and ribbing when the light bounces of the cup and stem.any idea who what where when and costs would be apprictaed...Many Thanx daarhn...ps my iPad won't allow me to attach the photo not sure why....Is there somewhere else I can send a photo to varify? daarhn@hotmail.com

Lavorazione Artistico, I'm sure. The item is from Empoli and dates back to the 1970s

I think your ipad may be upset due to a death in the family.

Hi Daarhn and welcome to the board!  :hi:

It's probably that the pictures have too large a file size. We generally find that using an image editing program to bring them down to about 700 pixels for the longest side works. There's more info here: http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,6522.0.html
