My grandmother passed this vase down to me, from which she got at an estate sale in 1980. Can anyone tell me who might make this and any info if possible?
There are no marks on this piece.

photos are a little unclear. any chance of better ones? Some measurements and weight may also be helpful.
-
yes i will get better pics for you and height and weight

The vase stands app. 18 inches tall and weights around 5 lbs. It was purchased from the estate sale in 1989.

Another picture if it helps.

Hi and welcome to the board :)
I think your vase is very pretty and I like the colour combination of the yellow and pink. Unfortunately I cannot help on a maker although someone will most likely come along shortly who will be able to help more. And your newer photos are more clear which should help.

When looking at a combination of opal and pink on an opal foot I immediately think "Empoli" - the glass making town near Florence where this style was mass produced in the 1960s and 1970s. But there are a few nagging elements which might point at a North American or Belgian origin - the lobed top, the check pattern at the base. But fairly sure it is Empoli - say 80-10-10 in percentage....

Thanks for the info. After looking up some info on Empoli, I saw information on Blinko glass. Could this possibly be their work? Could any information help tell you more about this vase?

Hi, and welcome to the board! It's unlikely to be Blenko, but like Ivo, I feel that top looks very American. You might like to investigate Pilgrim and Viking swung vases.

Thanks everyone for the info. After looking up viking glass, I have come to the conclusion that is what it is.

Hi there:
Viking glass (kinda) popped into my mind too, as only a Guess ?????

Hi stoneyh. I'd be wary of deciding it's definitely Viking, unless you've found something exactly the same.
