:hi: there, and Good Morning:
I bought this item at that Indoor Flea Market for a Total of $2. It is signed on the bottom. It is about 5 inches wide at widest point, and about 2 inches tall. Lots of wear on the bottom edges.....and signed. My first piece of Orrefors... :hiclp:
Now is a bowl, candy dish, or ashtray (maybe)?? Year made, or any other info since this is my first piece. Weighs lots for a smaller item.
Thanks :kissy:

I vote ashtray - sorry about that. No idea of designer or date - but a nice find especially since it was so costly, NOT. :chky:

Bowl says I, no cigarette rests...
Well done Rose, I bought one of these in a pale blue years ago but it was not marked. I think there has been one on this forum before but I don't recall if a designer or date was mentioned.

:24: For $ 2 , I am just glad I found it -- as now it is my first piece. :hiclp:
Maybe a Ashtray, Bowl, or just a Candy Dish ?? :huh2: :24:

It can be what ever you want it to be Rose. ;D

It's a dish and could be for anything. If the pinches / grooves were used for :sm: fags, the cigarettes would point up, fall out, burn your house down :phew: and of top of that, drop ash everywhere. The point of an ashtray surely is to contain the cig and ash, not throw them around. ::) ;D

I still vote ashtray. These Scandinavian's do not seem to follow the rules. Attached is a large c.9inch diameter CIGAR ashtray by Per Lutken - note no grooves in sight and a b*****y great bump in the middle. Go Figure. :spls:

Ditto for me.....that is a funny ashtray... :huh2:
.....And that is a VERY good point to make about the way certain Glass ashtrays are made....always learning here!!
