Title: Small Art Deco light shade 1920-30 ?
Post by: Trebor on October 14, 2011, 08:55:11 AM
I bought this small light shade at a car boot sale because of the teardrops on each panel. when i first saw it i thought it was all frosted glass it was only when i washed it i realized the teardrops were clear glass. I think it is Art Deco 1920-30 .i would like to know if this is right or could it be older or modern. Height 140 mm Width 100 mm. Thank you

Rob's re-uploaded the images he posted into the Themes topic by mistake. I'm sure he'll sort it when he logs in next.

Nice shade - looks like a perfect fusion of nouveau and deco - I'd say very modern, influenced by said eras, but may be compleeeeeeetely wrong - sorry, no idea of maker/origin so I'm not being particularly helpful really - just thinking out loud ;o)
