Hi. I think this is an Isle of Wight bottle but would like confirmation. It is almost 3.5" high (including stopper) and has a signature on the base. Lovely colours! Thanks.
-
I think this Mdina and a pattern called 'Marble' which is currently being produced. Couple of other examples in the link below:

Thanks for your reply Greg. I followed the link - the 'Marble' pattern looks a bit different to me, and the shape isn't listed. But then maybe the shape is no longer available and the pattern varies somewhat? I really haven't a clue about these things.
Wouldn't it say Mdina on the base? Is it possible to say that it's definitely NOT Isle of Wight?
Cheers!

Definately Mdina.....and very nice too. :)
Sue might know more, I just recognise the signature.
-
So that's a definite for Mdina - very good. Thanks Rosie! Hopefully Sue will pop in some time.

Mdina and definately either marble or tiger. Not 100% sure but I believe marble was the successor to tiger.
-
Thanks Greg, that's great info.
-
Would it be possible for a moderator to change the title to 'Mdina bottle with stopper - looking for signature ID' Thanks!
-
Definitely Mdina Marble and it definitely says Mdina. That's just a big loop on the front of the M. The things in the range change over time
-
Oh! I had no idea it said Mdina! Thanks Christine. Well, I guess that's everything I need to know now! Thanks to all for your help and info. (http://serve.mysmiley.net/happy/happy0034.gif) (http://www.footballerpictures.co.uk)

"Tiger" was the three colour swirly/painterly design done originally by Eric Dobson, first produced shortly after or around the time Michael Harris left (1972).
Early pieces tend to have the colours far deeper inside the glass - a real 3-d sort of effect, and the yellow background is bubbly and ochrey and a much deeper yellow colour.
The design is still made today, although it's been renamed "Marble" and the load of colours is much, much flatter. The background tends to be frothy rather then bubbly, and a creamy white with dark flecks in it, rather than yellow.
This is definitely Marble, and it really does read Mdina on the base. (often misinterpreted as Molina).
Sorry for taking so long to reply, Nancy - been away.

Lovely Sue. You've described it perfectly. Thanks for confirming that it's Marble. I really like it!
