Hi. I love this little guy and just HAD to have him when I saw him listed on Ebay.
He is 3.5" tall and 3" long.
Does anyone know what his pedigree might be, or is he just a mut? (Lovable mut!)

Hi again Nancy....hee hee, I am so pleased you got him....I was going to bid for him, but he wasn't Langham. I am pretty certain he is Murano, and I hope Anita pops in for you, cos I bet she'll love it! I wanted the partridge and the hippo (I only have three hippos!), but got outbid!!

Thanks Rosie. It would be nice if he turned out to be Murano. I didn't see the partridge or hippo - I only had eyes for this cutie. That's so sad that you only have three hippos!
Yep, I was kind of hoping that Anita might have a look at him . . .

:X: 4U :)

He is beautifully executed in a style that reminds me a bit of Pirelli but IMHO he could be from anywhere as he is lampwork.

Thanks Christine. I'm taking you to mean, IYHO, that unless this little doggie is recognised by someone who knows who made it, there isn't much chance of an ID? (http://serve.mysmiley.net/sad/sad0021.gif) (http://www.mysmiley.net)
He has such character though, so maybe someone out there remembers seeing him or similar and has retained the vital knowledge! Here's hoping . . .

Any one can do lampwork because it requires little equipment (safety aspects aside): all it requires is glass rods and a hot-enough gas flame.
-
I do understand that anyone can (at least attempt to) do make lampwork figures. But as this one seems to be well done, and has plenty of character, I do hope that someone will perhaps recognise something that rings a bell. Giving this a gentle bump!
