Title: What goes in the centre of this uranium glass centrepiece - and maker?
Post by: flying free on October 19, 2011, 03:43:33 PM
I've had this centrepiece for years stuck in a cupboard completely forgotten about.  I tried to sell it and no one wanted it, so I dug it out and started using it.  I do remember searching for it ages ago and seemed to recall on Pamela's site it was maker unknown at that time.  Now I can't find it again of course.
Bizarrely I have only just realised (as I was stuffing numerous stems in to fill it) that the frog has a large hole in the centre and possibly should/could hold a figurine or something perhaps?
Anyone know who did this piece and what it might hold so I can look out for it please?
Just over 18.5cm (7 1/4") wide by 15cm (6")tall
Many thanks
m

I don't think anything goes in it; other styles also have large centre holes. I think you have a Sowerby 2499 vase with a 2487 flower holder, but I can't be sure because half the catalogue page is missing
