Title: A question about Tapio Wirkkala 3586 cylinder vase

Was there one made in amber or a similar colour to Caithness Peat at all.

I think i may have seen one.

There were some Chinese made copies around a couple of years ago in red, clear and I think amber. I bought a red one for reference and they were discussed at length earlier on the board here

There is also a similar range by Krosno from Poland which were made in colours closer to some of the Caithness ones... a darker plum and a peaty brown I seem to recall.

We have seen some of the copies with "added signatures" making them appear to be other than they are too, so you're right to be cautious.
