:hi:
I bought this small little bowl today. I am hoping :X: Venetian or Murano but not really sure. There are gold flakes in it like I have seen in other Murano pieces, and kinda a small wave in the Gold flecks (like I have seen in other Murano glass). Base has *super* amount of wear. There are also controlled bubbles in it. Size: 5 inches wide, 2.25 inches tall.....and weighs 1.5 pounds (Just got a small scale for weighing glass here, it is an addiction.....)
Now what I am not sure about is the pattern on the outside ?? It was designed with notches, and grooves on the outside. So I am confused. The inside, the gold flakes, the base reminds me of *Murano*.
The deep blood red, and the extreme base wear reminds me of *Venetian* (as the color is much like another red bowl I have here).
Now the grooves, and the design on it --- I have no idea which way to turn......or IF I am even on the right road. So I am totally :ho: on this one....
Um-m-m-m................any ideas of all (http://serve.mysmiley.net/confused/confused0009.gif)

I would say Murano Rose, and a slightly more unusual piece.
-
That is very Murano.

Good Morning Rose :)
Not identical, but from a Canadian seller is this listing, which has great similarities.

Sadly no label though. But at least you know the shape of yours crops up from time to time, and I think it is very Murano, and very beautiful. Nice find! :sun:

Probably : Venini , Carlo Scarpa ( sommerso a Bollicine )

Thanks all
Is this piece (kinda) similar at all here at [ Svazzo Site ] (http://www.trocadero.com/stores/svazzo/items/1034017/item1034017.html) ?????
The people I bought it from are going to be on the Canadian TV show "Canadian Pickers" next May (2012). I have bought from these folks before. I bought that KM Pelican from them....so I hope :X: I found another sleeper item from them.

Just hunting around here....
Found this one on Ebay (different shape and color) but the bottom of this one also looks like it was *mold-blown* ??? See what I mean??
That one does have a J.I.Co label on it. See HERE (http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Venetian-Glass-Italy-Hand-Made-Ashtray-Amber-J-I-CO-/360370671011?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item53e7c40da3) So I am just throwing that out there..... (http://serve.mysmiley.net/indifferent/indifferent0025.gif)

Rose:
Yours is much nicer (and different) than the JI one you found. Yours is an unusual shape, but not Scarpa. Yours is closer to Svazzo piece, although I don't know if it's Poli.

I doubt a Poli piece. Very similar to the A.S type shaped bowl as seen in 20th Century Glass piece. Looks good quality though.

Hi:
Was digging around in regards to that Tutti Frutti bowl I just posted HERE (http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,46187.0.html) with the weird type of bottom. Then I went back to look at this piece (and post) of mine of this piece of glass with that (kinda) same type of bottom.
So looking around for info on both of these bowls of mine -- but just wondering IF this bottom scalloped design HERE-Ebay (http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&_trksid=p4340.l2557&item=310233842977&nma=true&rt=nc&si=%252BmEG5unqEoRH4s%252BSa2Pa2996dx4%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc) is at all similar to my red bowl posted here, and the bottom of the Tutti Frutti bowl I just posted.
Need help. Thanks :pb:
