Now this one doesn't look like vaseline glass. Vaseline tends to be a term mainly used (I think) by American collectors for a more creamy yellow glass which contains uranium, and thus glows under a UV lamp (also known as a blacklight). In the UK we tend to say uranium glass, but to test for it you need a small UV torch. My initial thoughts is that this isn't uranium glass though, depending on the size it's probably part of a pressed glass dessert set. It's always useful to include dimensions in queries, as it helps us assess the piece better.

Federal's "Petal" pattern - it's fairly easily found in the US. They also made it in iridised glass (Carnival) with a pastel effect that's very pretty. If you "google" Federal Petal or check it on eBay, you'll get plenty of hits and references.
