Title: Pretty yellow 'bubbly' jug.....any info appreciated.
Post by: rosieposie on October 29, 2011, 01:59:42 PM
I know you all know I don't 'do' jugs,  but this is a pretty one given as a gift about 8 years ago.
11" tall, full of bubbles, although the handle is plain glass.
Rough Pontil mark to the base, and no sign of a maker's mark.

That looks Biot-ish, check for a very small sand blasted mark.

Wow Christine,  thanks so much!!!....a very small acid etched mark.....impossible to show up on my yellow jug picture,  BUT, the same as this one on a  lemon squeezer we bought in France ages ago......I didn't even know that was marked either.
The French call this Champagne glass, or Verre de Champagne.
The person that gave the jug as a prezzy travelled to France as an Air Hostess, so it all makes sense now.
Two more pieces identified!  Thanks.  :kissy:
