This vase measures 7.5 inches tall.
It is etched "Made in Czechoslovakia" on the bottom.
Would anyone know the glass-works or designer?
It appears to be cased?
I was wondering how the rusty red colored streaks were applied, and what would be the name of this technique.
I am also interested the in value at online auction.

Interesting vase. I haven't seen anything quite like this in technique, but this isn't my area. It looks like the colour was applied after the basic shape was developed. I've not seen anything quite so fractured looking applied like that. All I can't think of is that shards of very thin red glass were picked up on the gather, heated, worked into to the piece, and then cased. But that's only a guess in the hope that it will provoke somebody who know what they're talking about to post.
I presume the time period is 1918-1938, when it would have become "Made in Czecho-Slovakia."

Thanks for the reply David,
Your description of the technique is exactly as I presumed.
I have seen pictures of others using this method, but none that quite resemble this one.
The etched "Made in Czechoslovakia"(spelled without the hyphen), is so faint it does not show in the photo.

Hi! I wonder if anyone might think it could be Franz Welz? Just a wild, only slightly educated, guess. :-\

I think it is Welz and called Chartreuse Variegated on Craig's website.
