Title: Is this Murano?
Post by: rosecottagesales on November 06, 2011, 06:24:27 AM
Hello all

Just wondering, is this a murano vase? It's quite heavy considering its size, measuring of 14cm tall

Any info re: maker, age, origin is much appreciated

Cheers

I think it might be Whitefriars but hard to be totally sure. What shape is the opening?

Any chance of a picture from above?

Actually had to edit that as the colour doesn't fit what I was thinking. It looks like a Whitefriars 9572 and the dimensions fit. But not sure on colour so maybe it isn't.

It could be aqua but on my monitor it doesn't look right.

A clear photos against a plain white background would be great help.  It does remind one of Whitefriars.

It is smart to provide several photos (1) an overall picture of the item, (2) a clear profile shot, (3) a shot of the base & (4) a shot of the rim of the vase.  Each of these will help the experts discriminate better between possible makers.
