I bought this French opalescent perfume bottle as Sabino. Trying to do some research I came up with nothing.
The bottle is marked on the base FRANCE ROYAL OPERA and a signature. I am sure its meant to be sabino , but comparing it to another sabino signature on a dragonfly I have it looks wrong and may have been added later.
Height 6" / 15cm
If it has been added later its a shame as it is a nice well made perfume bottle.
Thanks for any help

Hi Roy,
I'm not entirely sure about this one. I've seen these bottles before in France, but never marked 'Sabino' before. The design isn't shown in Decelle's Sabino Catalogue Raisonne, nor in the current online catalogue, but that said, there is still the very slight possibility that these bottles were made by Sabino some time after 1961 as a special commission. More likely, however, is that someone has added the engraved mark at a later date to deceive...
Looking at the stopper in particular, the mould quality is not what I'd expect from Sabino.
