Title: Carnival - cobalt compote
Post by: officer42 on November 12, 2011, 04:40:12 AM
I have five pieces of cobalt carnival glass. I identified four of them on David Doty's website but couldn't find this one.
It is 150mm wide across the top and 130mm tall. The base is non-iridised with a slight twist.
If someone knows the pattern or could point me towards a maker that would be great.

It's Fenton's "Wreath of Roses" stemmed comport.

Ahhh. Thanks for that.
The pics on ddoty.com are quite different from mine. It was the lack of any actual roses that threw me, although the thorns should have been a clue.

There are roses in the moulded pattern - but they are stretched by the shaping of the comport and so not too easy to discern.
