Title: Sklo Union bowl? - ID = Rudolf Jurnikl for Rosice
Post by: Anne on March 05, 2006, 08:49:43 PM
I saw one of these listed on eBay recently (in green) as Sklo Union, but is it? It has a deep collar on the base and no maker's marks at all. Can anyone confirm or otherwise please? Many thanks. :)

Hi Anne, Sklo Union glass usually isn't marked - put it this way not one of my pieces have ever been marked.  I also have one of these ashtrays and I've got it attributed to Sklo Union - it has the typical 'birdbath' ground down base and 'feels' right - I'd be very surprised if it wasn't but I expect someone will come along now and say I'm wrong! LOL

It was seeing yours in the shop that reminded me about this query Pip... :)  Perhaps Marcus can throw some light onto these?

I believe this is the 1175, not 1145: http://picasaweb.google.com/Jindra8526/RudolfJurnikl?authkey=Gv1sRgCLfjgeajgbzBKQ#5443327771060227730

Anik is correct, if you look at either of them here http://sklo-union-glass.com/ you will be able to see them both together and easily flip back and forth between the two. They both appear on the same 1987 catalogue page too.
