odd lump of glass that clearly has a purpose ... but what?
One way up it resembles a rather large ashtray and there is an indentation.
I have never handled a piano foot so don't really know what they look like.
I did think it might be something to do with Fondu but I think the handle would flip the forks out.
Turn it over and it looks like a pot or kettle stand.
looks like Kosta but doesn't have the pinkish tinge. Possibly Iittala?
No marks or stickers so it is out there for the good people of gm give whatever help they can. Thanks in advance.

There was a thread about them some time ago, where Ivo named a possible maker I cannot remember (Eastern Europe?)
But I guess German is another possibility.
They come in loads of different designs...

A lot of these seem to have been retailed under the WMF brand within the last 10-15, but were made in Poland or thereabouts. I suspect there are lots of non-WMF ones about too.
