Title: Beautifully modelled bird - any ideas of maker?
Post by: wolkenreb on December 01, 2011, 03:11:29 PM
Hi.  It seems to be a day for wildlife on the GMB!

I have here a really exquisite bird.  I find it incredible that the maker managed to balance her so well so that she stands perfectly on those two dainty feet.  She is about 4" from beak to tail and about 2.5" high.  Lovely colours.

Who might have made her?  And what technique would have been used?

The feet of the bird look like ones that were made in Russia or Germany. I tried to find this specific bird, but couldn't right away. Frank may be able to help more here.

Thanks Anita.  Any makers come to mind that I might try looking into?
