Title: ROOSTER -- Pressed, and footed ?
Post by: antiquerose123 on December 02, 2011, 04:34:57 PM
 :hi:

Since we seem to be going to the Birds the last few Days -- might as well post this Rooster!!

He is on a footed base, pressed glass.  About 9 inches tall by 6.5 long by 4.5 wide.  I have heard of 'Hen on a Nest' but not sure of the maker for this item??  Would he be called Amberina ? by the colors??  I guess he might be a candy Dish too...

Thanks....I am assuming North America.

looks like the portieux chantecler - except for the colour. Now it could be a modern version - they are still in production - or it could be something else (sorry for that observation).
Here's one http://aarf.com/femilk01.htm

The tail and the comb are different. LE Smith seems more likely
