well I went down the road, carried all my insulators (and they are so heavy) - regrettably no wealthy friends from the States or Oz as I was led to believe - but found these two vases in the Charity shop ;).
The part frosted amethyst piece is Vaclav Hanus for Hermanova with the popular name of 'Drapery' vase from about 1957 (also produced in completely clear examples and other colours apparently) - 10 inches tall. Do people know if the part frosted variety is much scarcer than the clear version?? - please. Unfortunately, I have long since ceased collecting Czech seriously, but might keep this one.
The other piece is uranium, and gives a very strong glow - quite yellowish green - about 7" tall, and is made by ..........??

Tsk! Paul, one item per topic please. :usd:

now, how did I know that you were going to say that Anne. ;D You're right of course, my fault completely, and I suggest you delete the post entirely unless you think it worth me putting the Czech piece, ONLY, over into the appropriate section. I haven't a clue what the u. piece is and I suspect I will look at it for a few days and it will then get buried in one of the sheds as unidentified.

>:D
Paul it's worth posting the green one separately as I suspect Pamela or Christine may be able to help... I'm sure I've seen it somewhere before too... :huh2:
